An Airbus story

For over 50 years, Airbus has delivered industry-leading training programmes at its Training Centres all over the world.

In 2018, Airbus added the initial pilot part to its training offer to be able to provide an end-to-end CBTA (Competency-Based Training and Assessment) pilot training: from zero flight experience to flying as an airline pilot and then evolve to being a captain, an instructor… The Airbus Flight Academy was created to design this Ab Initio training, select flight schools as training delivery partners and train their instructors to the Airbus standards.

The Airbus Flight Academy network, formed by our partners was launched with: 
- Escuela de Aviacion Mexico in Mexico (from 2019 to 2025)
- Airbus Flight Academy Europe in France (from 2019 to 2026)
Following new strategic directions, they shifted to independent training activities.

Our current partners are: 
- Sevenair Academy in Portugal (since 2025)
- The Aviator Institute in Tunisia (since 2025)
Together, we build a community of excellence in pilot training, with plans to integrate further partners in the network worlwide.
